Our team advised NASDAQ in taxation issues related to its retirement program
NASDAQ is the leading global operator of exchanges and a provider of capital markets technology. Our team advised NASDAQ in taxation issues concerning a voluntary early retirement program. It was a unique case as there was no previous practice of this nature.
We assisted software developer Pixelmator Team to protect its international distribution network
Pixelmator Team is a well-known Lithuanian software developer producing internationally recognized graphic editing software. We advised Pixelmator Team on a number of legal actions related to protection of their distribution network in foreign jurisdictions, particularly in the United States. We have also assisted the client to engage counsels in foreign jurisdictions and manage respective legal actions there.
Our team was engaged by the global health care company Abbott Laboratories to perform due diligence of human resources in Lithuania
Abbott Laboratories announced its separation into two publicly traded companies in October 2011. One company focused on diversified medical products and the other on research based pharmaceuticals. We were selected to perform a thorough legal due diligence of human resources in Lithuania. Our role was to provide urgent and qualified assistance to the local subsidiary with more than 50 employees. As part of this due diligence, our team advised the client on the transfer of employees which, after adoption of new case-law in February 2012, became more complex.
